The Emergency Management Community of Practice (EMCOP) is an incorporated not-for-profit association dedicated to advancing emergency management practices across resource and industrial sector. Originally formed in 2019 by industry leaders across Western Australian mining operations, EMCOP brings together industry operators, emergency response agencies, suppliers, and training providers to foster collaboration, share technology, and elevate emergency capability.

Evidence-Based Practice & Industry Research

Access shared research, incident learnings, and technical papers to support evidence-based approaches to emergency management, risk mitigation, and operational safety.

Benchmarking & Capability Standards

Participate in industry-wide emergency preparedness benchmarking, sector comparisons, and national competency frameworks - including the Emergency Response Officer (ERO) and Emergency Response Leader (ERL) certification programs developed in partnership with the Australian Institute of Health & Safety (AIHS).

Collaborative Problem-Solving & Working Groups

Engage directly with peers and technical specialists through dedicated working groups, forums, and practical showcases, including:
